I’m so excited to share Lacy & Landon’s wedding pictures. I’m sorry it took me so long to get them on the blog. Summer vacations threw me off, but I’m back in the swing of things now. Lacy met Landon when they were both working in Colorado and hit it off right away. It was so much fun to hear all the stories at the rehearsal dinner about the progression of their relationship. They have such great friends and amazing families. And they know how to throw one heck of a party.
Busylad transformed their back yard into a perfect reception venue. The weather could not have cooperated more perfectly for a late June wedding. I think the temps were in the high 70s-low 80s that night. It was truly the perfect night for dancing and fun. Romie’s Grocery catered with some yummy appetizers with a southern flair. Flowers by Connie arranged some beautiful and bright summer flowers as well. But the cake…oh my. I decided to cut out lots of processed sugar as part of a healthy eating plan on the Monday following this wedding. Part of that decision was because it was our last wedding of the summer season and I knew it would be my last hoorah with wedding cake for a few months. Seriously, I couldn’t have gone out on a better sugar high note. I can neither confirm nor deny whether I had more than one piece of cake. I will say, however, that it’s in my top 3 wedding cakes.
But back to the point: Lacy was one of the most beautiful brides! I really love lace dresses. I think they are so elegant and classic. I don’t think she could have pulled it off better. Also, there are plenty of up-dos that I think are amazing out there. However, it was refreshing to see Lacy’s more natural, elegant half up/down do. One of the best parts of my job is to see how couples show love with one another. It isn’t something I can explain in words. Perhaps that’s why I do what I do. I only hope I was able to capture a portion of the great love that Lacy and Landon share and how they expressed it on this special day. I wish you guys the best of luck. You are awesome!
